Our smart vending machines are designed with a modular architecture, enabling easy repair and replacement of individual components. This reduces the need for new materials, extending the lifespan of our products and decreasing the overall environmental impact.
- Second-Hand Market: Once our cabinets have fulfilled their primary use, they enter a second-hand market for repurposing, ensuring that every product serves multiple lifecycles before being fully retired.
- Guaranteed Spare Parts Availability: To support the long-term maintenance of our products, we have contracts in place to quarantine spare parts for a minimum of 8 years after production. This guarantees that essential parts will be available for repairs, ensuring that our cabinets can operate efficiently for an extended period.
- Extended Repair and Refurbishment Options: Even beyond the 8-year period, we are committed to keeping our cabinets in use. We can continue to repair and refurbish units through separate sourcing of parts or by scrapping old units to harvest components. This closed-loop approach helps reduce material waste and extends the useful life of each cabinet, further contributing to the circular economy.
Sustainable materials
We carefully select materials that minimize environmental impact, including renewable materials from Stora Enso for shipping packaging, which significantly reduces plastic use in our supply chain. By manufacturing our cabinets locally in Finland, we cut down on transportation-related emissions compared to sourcing from far-off regions like China. For every cabinet that we produce locally, we avoid approximately 500-1,000 kg of CO2 emissions compared to shipping from overseas.
